Aloha (Welcome) To The Church At Koloa

Koloa Church is a place for Fellowship, Worship, Learning, Growing and Serving. We are a Bible-believing congregation that is reaching out to our community with the love of Christ. We offer regular activities for families, singles, and anyone who is seeking to make a personal difference in the lives of others.

A Message From Pastors Harold And Christy Kilborn

Aloha!  We trust that you will feel right at home as you join us in worship of our Lord Jesus Christ.  Our desire is that through the singing, worship and ministry of the Word, you will enter into His Presence and be touched by the power of His Holy Spirit and that the name of Jesus will be lifted up and we will all be drawn to Him.

People can recognize the way Christians love others. It’s different than what is experienced in the world. As a church, we are continuously striving for relationships that build a strong community and help us grow in our love for Jesus. If you have a question, contact us for more information.

Watch Out!  Once you come, you instantly become a part of our church family, so make yourself right at home.  Join us!

Aloha Ke Akua (“with” the love of God),
Pastor Harold and Christy Kilborn

What We Believe

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God and inerrant in the original writings. We believe that there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

We believe that the lost and sinful man must be saved, and that man’s only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. We believe in and practice the holy ordinance of water baptism, which signifies the believer’s death, burial, and resurrection into new life with Christ Jesus, and the regular celebration of Holy Communion as commanded by our Lord.

We believe in the present ministry and baptism of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the unsaved; those that are saved into the resurrection of life and those that are unsaved into the resurrection of damnation.

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

About Pastors Harold and Christy Kilborn

Pastors Harold and Christy are both from the islands. Pastor Harold was born and raised on the island of Oahu and Christy was born and raised on the island of Kauai. The Church At Koloa, which is an historical landmark, has been their first church to pastor since 1981. They have celebrated over 25 years of marriage and of ministry to the Lord at the Church At Koloa. Both Pastor Harold and Christy met, and graduated from Bethany University majoring in Biblical and Theological Studies. They have 2 children and 2 grandchildren.

Pastor Kilborn has been deeply involved in studying Apologetics the past 30 years (being greatly influenced by the great Dr. Walter Martin), and taught at the “Calvary Chapel Bible College” here on the island of Kauai in the past.

Pastor Kilborn has a passion for people to mature in the Lord and believes that expository teaching, going through the books of the Bible, verse by verse, is one of the best ways to mature in the Lord.

When he is not reading, studying and teaching the Word of God, Pastor Kilborn enjoys life to the fullest.  He has a passion for outdoor activities which include kayaking, deep sea and spear fishing, as well as swimming in the beautiful beaches of Kauai.  But his most enjoyable sport is boar hunting.
